Strapping Heads Model SL    "Seal-Less Strapping Heads" For 3/8" to 3/4" x .023 max. Steel Strapping and Banding Materials     The Seal-less joint is made by cutting a sealing profile into the two overlapping strap ends by the action of a die (fig. 1) and a punch (fig. 2) The "SL" Strapping Head eliminates the cost of seals and the associated expense to inventory and ordering them. The "SL" Head is primarily suited for flat surfaces. The head is a modular design with the In-feed Guide & Strap Straightening, Gripper/Cutter and Sealing assemblies all being independent modules that can be replaced in a matter minutes with a spare module; Keeping down time to and absolute minimum. Our Model SL Strapping Head has proven itself over the years in many 24/7 applications in the Automotive, Tobacco, Concrete Block, Lumber, and Container Industries. Note: This Strapping Head is an economical replacement if you currently have an old, worn out or obsolete Strapping Head. Model SC   "Seal Type Strapping Heads" For 3/8" to 3/4" x .023 Steel Strapping and Banding Materials Note: This Strapping Head is an economical replacement if you currently have the old obsolete Acme/Interlake Seal type Strapping Heads Contact us for more details and info. The SC Strapping Head is specifically designed for strapping objects with a limited or irregular shaped sealing surface and for applications where the additional security of a "Seal" is required to prevent the exposed seal joint from accidentally being opened. Typical applications are bundles of pipe, bar stock, slit coils, tobacco bales and paper rolls using "tight edge" or "curved edge" strapping material. The unique feature of the "SC" Strapping Heads is the quick change modular "sealing mechanism". The majority of the "SC" Strapping Head functions are in this module. It is designed for easy and fast replacement. It includes seal feed, seal crimping, seal and strap cut-off and gripping functions. The unit can be removed and replaced with a back-up unit in less than 5 minutes. This provides you the option of stocking a replacement module(s) that you can service yourself, or you can send it to Triangle Technologies, for factory service, repair and adjustment without interrupting normal production. The unit weighs less than 35 lbs and is easily and economically sent by UPS or FedEx. Triangle Technologies Model "SC" Strapping Head also features the unique "seals in a coil" that employs positive one at a time seal feeding. With the seal dispensers1 ability to hold 2500 double notch or 4000 single notch seals downtime is greatly reduced when compared to reloading a "magazine" of seals that typically hold only about 300 seals. You can inspect, adjust, repair and test the mechanisms components that are associated with strap gripping, strap cut-off, seal feed, sealing, and seal cutoff. The use of this Test Stand to adjust the sealing mechanism and produce sample seals before the mechanism goes back into the production strapping head reduces down time and improves the overall up time of your Strapping System.
